Rain rain go away - Masthead issue 38

 Experts at the Met Office say the exceptional record-breaking wet weather so far in 2026 is another sign that climate change is already here. As global temperatures rise, the atmosphere's capacity for moisture increases, resulting in storm systems that carry greater amounts of water.

This has serious implications including the flooding of homes, businesses, supply chains, and other infrastructure as well as impacting farmers and the UK’s food system.

So, should we do something? If yes, what? And when?
